Schooled in the traditions of quantity surveying, Mikael has worked on both client and contractor sides within the construction industry for 20+ years across both project control, procurement & contract roles.

For the last 10 years Mikael has been working at Bechtel as a Contracts Manager helping successfully deliver megaprojects, most recently the multi-billion Amrun Project in remote far north Queensland, Australia which won the 2019 IACCM APAC region’s Innovation & Excellence Award for Operational Improvement.

Mikael is an avid learner which he is currently satisfying by undertaking an Executive MBA at Queensland University of Technology which is due to be completed later this year.

Finally, Mikael is also co-creator of thebuildbetter.network a global construction industry advocacy forum which is helping facilitate conversations across all parts of the industry to build a better construction industry.
