Jerry Silber

Vice President & Deputy General Counsel, Verizon Business Group

Jerry Silber is Vice-President and Deputy General Counsel for the Verizon Business Group, which designs, builds, and operates the networks, information systems, and mobile technologies that help businesses around the globe expand reach, increase agility, and create a competitive advantage.  He is responsible for legal support of the domestic Enterprise and acquisition sales segments. In this role, he leads a team of attorneys and contract managers that provides commercial legal advice and contract negotiation support for customers that generate over $11 billion in annual revenue. Jerry also serves on the Global Enterprise Executive Leadership Team and is a founding member of the Enterprise Integrity Council.  During his tenure, Jerry has supported various sales channels from Small-Medium Business to Outsourcing.  He has been recognized by Verizon with several awards for his pro bono efforts.

Prior to joining Verizon, Jerry was an attorney with the New York City law firm of Rosenman & Colin, responsible for regulatory, transactional and litigation representation of radio, television, satellite, and common carrier clients. At Rosenman, he often was the lead M&A and regulatory lawyer on asset and stock transactions involving media properties.

Jerry is an Adjunct Professor at Manhattanville College (Purchase, New York) where he teaches a graduate seminar on Communications Law and Ethics and sits on the College’s Corporate Educational Advisory Board.

Jerry is an active member of the IACCM and sits on IACCM’s Advisory Council.
