Ines Curtius

Head of Contract Governance Systems, Airbus Defence & Space

Love4law+contracts

That was the reason for Ines Curtius, Contract Innovator at Airbus Defence and Space to go to law school in Munich. For Ines cooperating with and including all various functions and business areas to build good, simple and understandable contracts have been key in her life. Another area of passion of Ines is giving internal trainings at Airbus to explain law and contracts in an international context. Since 2003 she has been designing and conducting approximately app. 100 sessions and is continuously doing so.

Fortunately she was able to start in 2017 an Airbus wide initiative “Contract Innovators@Airbus” to explore how digital transformation in all its forms, be it legal tech or legal content wise is impacting the way Airbus is handling their contractual relationships. The ContractInnovators also won 2019 the IACCM global award for innovation and excellence – strategic direction. The award is given to initiatives that have raised the strategic profile and contribution of the commercial or contracting process or function.

Ines is a fully qualified lawyer and has twenty years of experience in the Aerospace industry sales and buy side. Her focus areas are: international business law, designing and giving legal trainings to non-legal people, design thinking, driving and making things happen. She has been working in the space and defence domain of Airbus since 2001 in various functions and areas.
