Else Bright is an Australian citizen from Norwegian parents, who grew up in Sydney. Else has worked for 29 Years in Defence and IT Commercial roles as follows:

Commercial Manager – Aircraft Sustainment and Training – Operational

Commercial Manager – Maritime Sustainment Line of Business – BAE Systems

Commercial Management Director – Defence, Finance and Health – NSW and Federal Government – Unisys

Commercial and Contracts Executive – IT, Systems Integration, Mining, Financial Services, Health (NSW and Federal) Defence and “As a Service” Contracting – CSC Australia (now DXC)

Commercial Manager for C4 Systems Line of Business – BAE Systems

Commercial and Contracts Manager – Collins Class Submarine, ANZAC Ship Shore Installations, Seahawk Helicopter, SH2-G Helicopter – CSC Australia (17 years)

Marketing Manager in Finance Industry (4 years)

Else has worked for BAE Systems twice in Commercial lead role. The first period was from 2008 to 2012 and then again from 2017 to the present.  During this time she has led commercial teams on proposals, won key negotiations and managed commercial team delivery in both the Defence and IT sectors.  This work included developing pricing, contract and product models and required development and presentation of business proposals to Board level for approval.

Else has also worked for CSC and Unisys in similar roles where her key strengths in IT and Defence were used to pursue new business while supporting project delivery on acquisition, systems integration and sustainment programs. She is highly skilled in resolving complex issues and has been successful in repairing relationships that have deteriorated and which required recovery of performance, while meeting KPI expectations and recovery of profit margins.

Else is also an experienced:

Business Commercial ManagerLife Cycle Management (LCM) Assessor;
Negotiator and relationship manager (Customer and supplier); and Mentor for both teams and Individuals.

Else has 3 children (one is an Electrician, one doing a masters in Pharmacology, and one is a teacher in the UK) and one grandchild on the way. Her interests include history, art (painting and sculpture), music, gardening and nature walks.  She enjoys spending time on the coast and in the Snowy Mountains in her family”s Norwegian cottage on Lake Eucumbene.
