George is a qualified attorney in China, studied law in both China and the UK. He graduated from Chinese University of Politics and Law, practiced in the area of international commercial transactions. He came to the UK further education in 2002 and received a Ph.D in Law from the University of Manchester in 2008. He started the first academic job at the University of Sheffield and joined Leeds in 2013. He teaches contract law, commercial law and arbitration.
